Wondering why the name "Emunah"?
As my husband and I prayed about what to name our business, the word Emunah came to Charles. At the time, we didn't know its meaning, so I began researching it.
Emunah is a Hebrew word often translated as "faith" or "belief," but its deeper meaning is "steadfastness," "faithfulness," "loyalty," and "active trust."
Because our faith in Jesus Christ is at the heart of who we are, the name Emunah beautifully reflects the values we want our business to embody. We are committed to serving our clients with integrity, faithfulness, excellence, and trustworthy stewardship. Our prayer is that every client experiences not only accurate and dependable bookkeeping, but also the care and honesty that define who we are.

Hi, I'm Janelle Thompson, founder of Emunah Bookkeeping LLC. I am a QuickBooks Pro Advisor and have 14 years bookkeeping experience working with non profits and service industry small businesses. I was raised in Colorado and, after marrying my wonderful husband, Charles, we relocated to beautiful Beaufort, South Carolina, at the end of 2025 to begin a new chapter of life.
My faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of everything I do. I believe in serving others with honesty integrity, and excellence, and I strive to reflect those values in every client relationship. The name Emunah means "faithfulness," which perfectly represents my commitment to caring for your business finances as if they were my own.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband exploring the waterfront, relaxing at the beach and watching the dolphins that make the Lowcountry such a special place to call home.
